Job Descriptions
President
- Oversees Board of Directors and leadership team; primary point of contact for all leadership.
- Leads meetings.
- Liaison with Common Cause nationally and in California, and with Democracy Matters.
- Liaison with CLL, GA, GSPP, and facets of Berkeley administration, and interested faculty.
- Generates bi-weekly email to members.
- Primary errand boy or girl, including pizza delivery.
Secretary
- Maintains group documents.
- Oversees and organizes group elections.
- Secondary liaison to various groups, after Executive Director.
Treasurer
- Primarily responsible for submitting grant applications and managing fundraising
- Oversees budget; handles expenses for events.
Outreach Coordinator
- Organizes and leads all activities aimed at growing membership (tabling, flyering, etc.)
- Manages email list
Event Coordinators (3)
- Organize and manage events individually or as a team
Board of Directors
- Includes all officers plus a core group of other students who agree to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per month to our group.
- Attend monthly board meetings.
- Vote in leadership elections.
- Available when additional help is needed in tabling, flyering, organizing events, etc.
- Running for a formal leadership position requires a minimum of one semester on the Board of Directors.
General Membership
- Consists of all students on our mailing list.
- Requires no commitments. Can attend events at their leisure.
